The ozone layer and the greenhouse effect
a) the ozone layer is very important for the life on the earth. Without it, plants, animals and human beings could not survive. The ozone layer is about 15-20km high in the straturphere and screens the earth from the ultraviolet radiation by filtering the rays out of the sunlight. These ultraviolet rays are very harmful for the life on earth.
Because of the CfC which is contained in aerosols, foams and solvents the ozone layer gets destroyed. If the ozone layer gets destroyed, we would be exposed to a global warming and an high rise of temperature.
That would have dangerous follows.
This phenomenon is called the greenhouse effect. We ourself cause it by the emissions of greenhose gas, which leads to an additional saving from warmth.
b) The reason for more ozone holes is the production of the greenhouse gas. It is called CfC. You can find it in aerosols, refrigerants, foams and in solvents.
Many people do not know how dangerous these gases are. CO2 is the most dangerous greenhouse gas, because it is mostly produced by the people. One reason for this phenomenon is the industralization. By that the concentration of the CO2 in the atmosphere rose about 20%, the methane rose about 90%. Besides the emissions of fossil fuels were not filtered in the past.
c) The consequences of the greenhouse effect are very dangerous.
If the ozone layer can't shield us from the ultraviolet radiation, many people would get skin cancer or cataract. Heatwaves would come over some countries and the crop would dry up so that the people suffer starvation. There are also consequences for the nature. If the temperature gets higher, the "Polkappen" would melt and the sea level would rise so that countries which are under this level would be flooded. Also there would arise hurricans, tornadoes and strong rainfalls in some parts of the earth.
d) First of all whe should take care of the earth, protect and also respect it.
We have to realize how important the ozone layer is and help it to be not get destroyes by producing so much CfC. Because of breeding calltes and building paddy fields the concentration of methan in the atmosphere decreased. Another solution is to behave energy-efficient so that you not waste energy. Another solution is, that you have to pay money if you throw your trash on the street, waste unimportant emissions or energy or paint on the wall with aerosols.
Also there should be more commercial about protecting the nature so that the people realize how important the ozone layer is and help to protect it.
